What is a Reputable Firewall?
All guest devices are required to be running a reputable firewall set up to block unsolicited incoming connections. A firewall will act as a gate keeper to the internet for your system. Some such firewall programs are:
- Windows Firewall
- Linux IPTables (Ubuntu UFW)
- OSX Application Firewall
With no firewall there is nothing between hackers on the internet and your computer. A firewall will try to keep out unwanted traffic to keep your system safe.
