Office 365: Overview of Microsoft Office 365 Suite

Microsoft Office 365 online applicationsare available to all MCCC students and employees. Office 365 is powered by the cloud, which allows you to get your applications and files from virtually anywhere PC, MAC, and mobile devices have access to the internet. Also, these applications will be automatically updated by Microsoft.

Outlook - College Email

Outlook provides access to your email and calendar. You may choose to install Outlookon your desktop or use the web-based client. All College employees and students (starting July 2022) use Outlook to receive their email.

Outlook is critical to your success as acommunity member because it is where all official College communications and course communications are sent. You are also expected to communicate with the College community through your assigned College emailaddress.

OneDrive - Web-based File Storage

OneDrive provides a space forstoring, organizing, and sharing files with easy access from any web browser. OneDrive replacescarrying around a flash drive to store your files.You can invite others to view or edit your files to providetop-level collaboration. OneDrive can sync with your computer to ensure your files are always backed up and available to you wherever there is an internet connection.

Word - Web-based Word Processing

Word online provides document creation and editing tools. Most of thefeatures you see in the desktop version are available online. Any Word online files created are automatically stored in OneDrive for easy access at any time.

Excel - Web-based Data Processing

Excel online is a spreadsheet and data analysis tool. Excel may be used at a basic level to keep track of important information or at an advanced level to track data and create visual charts and graphs. Most of the features you see in the desktop version are available online.

Any Excel online files created are automatically stored in your OneDrive for easy access at any time.

OneNote is an online note-taking tool that can help you capture, annotate, and organize your notes. Access notes online at any time with an internet connection.
