This article will show you how to grade a Blackboard assignment. There are two ways you can grade an assignment in Blackboard, Needs Grading or through the Full Grade Center. |
Needs Grading | ||
1. Login to Blackboard and click the course where you want to grade assignments. 2. Scroll down to the Course Management menu on the left. 3. Click Grade Center. 4. Click Needs Grading. |

5. You can grade by student or grade all submitted assignments.

6. The student's submitted assignment will appear. 7. Enter a grade for the student in the Grade field and enter any feedback to the student in the Feedback to Learner field. When finished click Submit. |

8. To page through all submissions, use the left and right arrows next to the student's name. Be sure to click Submit after every grade entered.

Full Grade Center | ||
1. Login to Blackboard and click the course where you want to grade assignments. 2. Scroll down to the Course Management menu on the left. 3. Click Grade Center. 4. Click Full Grade Center. |

5. Review the Grade Center. Any assignment that needs grading will be marked with a yellow exclamation point. |

6. Put your mouse over the assignment that needs grading until a gray down arrow appears. Click the down arrow to reveal a pop-up window. Then click Grade User Activity. |

7. The student's submitted assignment will appear.
8. Enter a grade for the student in the Grade field and enter any feedback to the student in the Feedback to Learner field. When finished click Submit. |
