Faculty and Students - Common Issues with Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor on Mac

There is a known issue on Mac OS 10.7 and later which prevents Flash settings from being changed to allow webcam access through a pop-up window. A workaround to change these settings can be performed via the following steps:

1. Click on the Apple menu in the top left of your screen
2. Click "System Preferences"

3. In the section of the window labeled "Other" or near the bottom of the window, click the Flash Player icon.

4. Click on the "Camera and Mic" tab, then the "Camera and Microphone Settings by Site"

5. Click the "+" button at the bottom left to add a site rule

6. In the "Website Domain" text box, enter "mc3.edu"

7. Select "Allow" on the "When this site wants to use a camera or mic" drop down menu.

8. Click "Add"
