Saving your files on OneDrive

This article describes how to save your files on Microsoft’s OneDrive for Business.

You can save files to OneDrive from within OneDrive, File Explorer, or from within other Microsoft apps like Word or Excel.

 Saving your files to OneDrive from a Microsoft desktop application (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


  1. When using an office desktop application and ready to save the file, click on the File menu at the top left of the screen.

    2.  The Save as menu appears. Click on Save to OneDrive-Montgomery County Community College.


 3.   Click on the OneDrive folder where you’d like to save your file.

  • Enter a name for the file.
  • Click Save
