Managing Class Notebook Settings - Desktop Version

 

You have the ability to manage your Class Notebook settings on the desktop version of Class Notebook. Either option will work for managing your settings. The following directions will show you how to manage your Class Notebook settings from the desktop version. Remember, Class Notebook is part of OneNote.

 

1. Click the Windows icon in the lower left corner. Then click All Apps.

2. Locate and click OneNote.

 Locate OneNote from the alphabetical list of apps

 

3. OneNote will open to the most recent notebook you were in. Locate and click the Class Notebook tab. Then click Manage Notebooks.

 Locate the Class Notebook tab and click Manage Notebooks

 

4. A browser window will open and take you to the online version of Class Notebook. You will now see the Manage Notebooks dashboard. You can adjust the following settings for each of your Class Notebooks:

Student Sections - Edit the names of student sections or add more sections.

Enable Teacher-Only Section Group - Click the link to create a space that can only be accessed and edited by Teachers.

Lock Collaboration Space - Locking the Collaboration Space only lets students view content note edit or add content. You can toggle between the switch at any time.

Collaboration Space Permissions - Give Collaboration Space access to specific students.

Parent and Guardian Links - Create and manage links for parents and/or guardians.This could be use for Guests looking to view a Class Notebook. The Parent and Guardian links do not allow users to edit content in the notebook.
