Faculty - Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor Class Results: "Student has completed multiple attempts..."

You may use Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor for your tests. When using Respondus Monitor you have the option to add a pre-exam webcam check that students must complete prior to taking the exam.

Selecting this option sometimes shows you notification in the Class Results in the LockDown Browser Dashboard that you may not have seen before.

For example, you may see an " * " (asterisk) next to a student's name with a note at the bottom of the page saying "Student has completed multiple attempts so the priority and score shown may not be for the attempt shown."

When a student begins a pre-exam check it is recorded as an attempt. This is different than the attempts shown in Blackboard via the Grade Center. A student may back out of a pre-exam check prior to starting the test. The test will not start until the student selects "Begin Exam."
