Logging into a Mac Following a Password Reset (Faculty/Staff)
- Instructors are unable to login to their work Macbook after a password reset. This requires administrative password.
1. Make sure the user is connected to a network. | |
2. Upon a password rest, it will display incorrect password. |

3. Select switch user and login as admin. | |
4. Select System Preferences > Users & Groups. |

5. Select the effected user > Reset Password. |
|
6. Enter a new password and then Select Change Password, can be anything because the user can login and change it later on. |

5. Select Apple > Log Out admin. |

6. User will need to sign in with the new password. | ![]() |
7. The user can login and repeat step 4-6. By changing their password to the one that matches the portal. |
