How can I avoid encountering the "Ping" error when I try to refresh reports in InfoView: ?

If you encounter this error, "InfoView cannot connect to the server.  Close the report panel and try to connect again or see your administrator.", try the following steps in Internet Explorer:

  1. Log out of InfoView
  2. From your browser, go to Internet Options > Security
  3. Click on custom level Scroll down to the Miscellaneous section
  4. Under "Access data sources across domains ", select Enable
  5. Restart your browser
  6. Test by refreshing report again to see if you will encounter this issue again
