Grant Delegate Access

 

 

Give another user the ability to use Outlook to act on your behalf: receiving and responding to e-mail, meeting requests, and meeting responses. You can also grant additional permissions that allow your delegate to read, create, or have full control over other items in your Outlook account such as your inbox and contacts. 

1. Select Account Settings from the File menu  
2. Click on Delegate Access  
   
3. Click Add  
   
4. Use the search box to locate your desired delegate, then double click or click the "Add" button while they are highlighted and click "OK"  
5. Select from the drop-down menus what access you would like to grant your delegate to each Outlook feature  

   
6. It is recommended to check the "Automatically send a message to delegate summarizing these permissions" checkbox.  
   
7. If you click "Delegate can see my private items" this applies to ALL private items. This cannot be set by folder.  
   
8. Click "OK" twice.  
   
9. On your Mail view, right click on the Deleted Items folder on the left-hand pane and choose Properties   
   
10.  On the Permissions tab, click on Add... and add the designated person. Then choose Author from the drop down list.  Click OK to apply these changes.
