Since we are in Week 1, we are going to spend some time getting to know each other. For this discussion, please answer the following prompts in your video:
- Name
- Location
- Major
- Fun fact about yourself
Be sure to provide a video reply to two of your peers' posts.
Please use the video tips below when posting any videos to Flipgrid for this course:
- Be mindful of what is in your background.
- Find a professional background space such as a solid white wall or another light colored wall. It is ok to have professional pictures and items on the wall or shelf in the background.
- Try to keep yourself centered in the camera frame for the duration of the video.
- Wear appropriate clothing.
- Write a script or jot down some initial thoughts and ideas in response to the prompts. Try not to read off your notes but rather glance at them as a guide to ensure you are covering everything.
- Speak slowly and clearly.
- Keep the camera steady.
- Practice twice before actually recording so you are familiar with what you want to say and can make adjustments prior to recording - This saves time in the long run.
- Don't be too critical of yourself. Keep going if you think you messed up.
- Have fun!
