Faculty and Students - Download and Connect the TechSmith Knowmia Mobile App: Fuse

A mobile app for TechSmith (a video recording tool available to you via your College credentials) is available for mobile devices and tablets. This article will walk you through how to download and connect the app to your TechSmith account through the College. 

This is a two step process which requires your to download the app and connect the app to your TechSmith account. You will need access to your mobile device/table, Internet, and a computer. 

Step 1: Download the App from the App Store

Step 2: Connect the App to your TechSmith Account (Note: access to a computer and the Internet is required)

 

Step 1: Download the App from the App Store

1. Navigate to the app store on your mobile device and search for TechSmith Fuse.

 

2. Follow the steps for downloading the app.

 

 

3. Once downloaded, you will need to follow the steps in Step 2 (below) to connect the app to your TechSmith account. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2: Connect the App to your TechSmith Account 

Note: Access to a computer, the Internet and the device where you downloaded Fuse is required for this step.

1. Open a web browser on your computer and in the web address bar, type mc3.techsmithrelay.com.

 

2. Select the Sign In button and enter your College username and password. 

 

3. Once logged in, click the Create button from the left navigation menu and select Connect Mobile Device from the drop-down menu.

4. A QR code will appear. 

This next step will require you to get your mobile device so that you may scan the code with your device.

 

 

 

5. Open the Fuse app you downloaded to your mobile device. 

Tap Library located in the lower left corner of the screen.

6. Select the Settings icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

7. Select Knowmia

 

8. Tap Sign In.

9. Pick up your mobile device and hold it over the QR code that is currently up on your computer screen. 

This process will connect the Fuse app with your TechSmith account.

10. On your mobile device, enter your College email and select Next

11. Enter your College username and password and tap Sign In.

12. Once signed in you have officially connected your Fuse app with your TechSmith account. 

This process will not need to be done again the next time you open the app.
