Faculty and Students - Common Issues with Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor on Mac
There is a known issue on Mac OS 10.7 and later which prevents Flash settings from being changed to allow webcam access through a pop-up window. A workaround to change these settings can be performed via the following steps: |
1. Click on the Apple menu in the top left of your screen | ![]() |

2. Click "System Preferences" | ||
3. In the section of the window labeled "Other" or near the bottom of the window, click the Flash Player icon. | ![]() |

4. Click on the "Camera and Mic" tab, then the "Camera and Microphone Settings by Site" | ![]() |
|
5. Click the "+" button at the bottom left to add a site rule | ||
6. In the "Website Domain" text box, enter "mc3.edu" | ||
7. Select "Allow" on the "When this site wants to use a camera or mic" drop down menu. | ||
8. Click "Add" | ||
