Faculty - Adding Comments to a Student Grade in the Blackboard Grade Center

You have the ability to add comments to a student’s grade in the Grade Center. The following article will walk you through how to add comments to a student grade in the Grade Center. 

 

1. Under Course Management click Grade Center. Then click Full Grade Center. 

 

 

2. Navigate to the student and cell under the Grade Center column where you want to add comments.

Put your mouse over the cell and click the gray down arrow that appears. Then click Quick Comment. 

 

 

 

3. A pop-up box will appear where you can enter:

  • Feedback to Learner: Comments that the student will see.
  • Grading Notes: Comments/Notes that only you will see as the instructor. 

 

 

 

4. Click Submit when you are finished.
