Faculty - Edit, Copy, or Delete Content in Blackboard

Click the down chevrons throughout your Blackboard courses to make changes to your content, to copy or move your content, or to delete your content.

The down chevron has several options you can use:

  • Edit will let you make changes to your content
  • Adaptive Release will let you release content based on 4 criteria; date, membership, grade, and review status.
  • Adaptive Release: Advanced will let you create rules or edit existing rules based on the Adaptive Release criteria.
  • Add Alignments will let you align content items to Goals in order to report goals coverage information for your course.
  • Set Review Status (Disabled) will let you track user review of content. If Review is on, users will have the ability to mark an item as Reviewed. If Review is off, no option will appear.
  • Metadata stores information about a Content Item, including bibliographic, lifecycle, and copyright information. Metadata allows content to be imported from and exported to other applications that use IMS (Instructional Management Systems) standards, creating interoperability for learning content.
  • Statistics Tracking (On/Off) lets you view detailed usage statistics on selected content items for all enrolled users. Statistics Tracking must be turned on for each individual item to be tracked. The default setting for Statistics Tracking is off.
  • User Progress displays a table of the visibility and review status of content items for a specific user.
  • Copy will let you copy a single item from one course to another, or to a different area in a single course.
  • Move will let you move a single item from one course to another, or to a different area in a single course.
  • Delete will let you remove the item from your course content area.
