  • Learn more about a specific career

A downloadable PDF version of this article is available at the bottom of the page.

1. To open MyCareerPlan: start from your student portal and navigate to Support & Tutoring > Support > MyCareerPlan

2. Once into the MyCareerPlan (by JobZology), please take all four assessments by clicking on each message to the right.  They do not need to be completed at the same time, but all four must be completed.

3. Once you have taken all four, you can see your results in your summary report.  It downloads into a PDF.

How to Use the Explore Career Path Tool

We encourage you to use the Explore Career Path tool from the MyCareerPlan home page.

If you are undecided about what you want to do with your career, you can see a list of your strongest matching occupations:

Note: You can also filter by degree level if you know you want to stop at your associate's or get a bachelor's or higher degree.  These are represented by Zones.

If you have an occupation in mind, you can search by a particular job title. Here's how:
1. Click on Specific Jobs

2. Type in the title of the position and click Search

3. Add the jobs to your list by clicking Add To List

4. Uncheck all checkboxes other than the Specific Jobs section and click Apply

5. You can now see how well-matched you are for this career!  Remember, green is great, yellow is good, and red means that you might not find yourself enjoying this career over the next 30-40 years!
