Windows 10 - Print to Image Now
We were having some issues with the Image Now printer not showing up in devices and printers when we upgraded users to Windows 10. Below are the details regarding how I was able to get the print to Image Now function to work on Windows 10. Please note that this process is to be completed after Image Now has been installed. I am going to attempt to automate this process if the new version isn’t going to be deployed in the near future, or the new version does not resolve the issue.
To get the Printer to show up in devices and printers: |
1. Login as a user with local administrative rights to the workstation. |
2. Browse to the %IMAGENOWDIR%\printer\setup\ folder. |
3. Right-click the PNSetup.exe executable and click Properties. |
4. Click the Compatibility tab. |
5. Click Change settings for all users. If prompted, accept the UAC prompt. |
6. Check Run this program in compatibility mode for and ensure Windows XP (Service Pack 3) is selected in the dropdown list |
7. Check Run this program as an administrator. |
8. Click OK until the properties dialog boxes are closed. |
9. Right-click PNSetup.exe, then select Run as Administrator. If prompted, accept the UAC prompt. |
10. The installer will run and you will see a file copy dialog box appear briefly. |
11. You will be prompted for the location of UNIDRV.dll. Point the installer to the file in the following location, then click OK: |

After the printer shows up I received the error below when I attempted to Print into Image Now. Follow the steps after the screen shot of the error to resolve this issue. |
1. Open an admin command prompt |
2. Type: cd c:\program files\imagenow6\bin |
3. Type: imagenow /REGSERVER |
4. Type: exit |
5. Reboot Computer |
6. Test to ensure Image Now printer is functioning. |
