Colleague Campus Organizations

The Campus Organizations module is part of the Campus Life component of the Colleague Student System. The Campus Organizations module allows our institution to monitor campus organizations such as athletics, student government, mentoring programs and clubs.

Reviewing Campus Organization Membership

  1. Log into Colleague
  2. Type COMT in the form search:

  3. Type the organization code in the Campus Org Look Up box and click OK
    • You may also enter for a list of orgs

    • You will be brought to the team description screen
  4. Click the Members/Advisors detail  button

  5. You will need to use the scroll bars to view all members

 

Adding a member to a Campus Org

  1. Follow steps 1 — 5 above
  2. Click the first record selector (button with number 1)
    • Students/athletes/mentees/etc. should be entered under Member
    • Faculty/coaches/advisors/etc. should be entered under Advisor
  3. Select the Insert  button
  4. Enter student ID (preferred) or student name and press Enter
    • Select the correct student if prompted
  5. Enter a Membership Period Start Date by clicking on the calendar icon.

  6. (Optional) Enter Membership Period End Date if known.
  7. Enter appropriate role
    • You may also enter for a list of roles
  8. Select a Start Date by clicking on the calendar

  9. (Optional) Enter Role End Date if known.
  10. (Optional) Select a Status
  11. Click the Save button to save the record
  12. Continue entering members using steps 2-11
  13. Click the Save button to save the campus org membership 
  14. Click the Save button to exit COMT 

Removing a member from a Campus Org

It is important to never delete a member from a campus organization. Using the following directions will end the individual’s membership in the org while maintaining an historical record of membership.

  1. Follow steps 1-5 from Reviewing Campus Organization Membership
  2. Detail on the appropriate student , click the magnifier on a piece of paper 
  3. Select an end date for both the Membership Period and current Role

  4. Click the Save button to save the record 
  5. Continue removing members using steps 2 & 3
  6. Click the Save button to save the campus org membership 
  7. Click the Save button to exit COMT
