Clickers (CPS) - Engage Clickers in Verbal Mode

Clickers are still available via the Help Desk, but it is recommended that other in-class formative assessment options are utilized since the Clicker technology is no longer as widely supported. For free options to replace the Clickers, please view the following knowledgebase article: In-Class Formative Assessment Options.

The Classroom Performance System (CPS), also known as "clickers" are handheld devices that allow students to respond to surveys or selected response questions as quick polls in class.  Teachers get immediate results without having to grade assessments. With the CPS software, teachers are able to make their own questions within the software, use PowerPoint presentations, use question banks or tests, or even create a Fast Grade lesson in which students use an assessment that is on paper and enter their answers with the clickers. This article will tell you how to use the Clickers (CPS) with a PowerPoint in Verbal mode.

Note: You must reserve the Clickers before using. To reserve the Clickers, fill out a Technical Equipment Request Form. For information and directions on reserving Clickers, read article Reserving Clickers (CPS).
