Faculty - Office 365 Video Overview: How to  View, Share and Embed Office 365 Videos into Blackboard


What is Office 365 Video?

Office 365 Video is an intranet website portal where people in your organization can post and view videos. It’s a streaming video service for your organization that’s available with SharePoint Online in Office 365. It’s a great place to share videos of executive communications or recordings of classes, meetings, presentations, or training sessions, for example. Office 365 Video displays a thumbnail image of each video on the site. You just select a thumbnail to view a particular video.


How to access, share, and embed Office 365 - Videos


1. Log in at the Montco Portal and click on the Office 365 button, which can be found under Quick Links on the left-hand side of the page.

2. Click on the Video icon. You will be directed to a page of video thumbnails

3. Choose Channels to see the available categories.
4. Click on a category to see a listing of available videos sorted by department.
5. You can then click on the video to view, share or embed it.
6. Click on the Share icon in the top right corner of the video this will create a link in an email message that you can use to send to a MC3 user or announce in a blackboard course.
7. You can also place the video directly into a Blackboard course by clicking the embed option in the top right corner. This will bring up a box that contains the embed code that can be placed into a blackboard course
8. Click on the embed code within the box and copy it to your computer’s clipboard by pressing Ctrl + C.
9. Go to your blackboard course and create an item.
10. Complete the field for the name of the video and then click on the video icon below.
11. Choose iFrame from the drop down menu and click on the source tab and paste the entire code in the field provide.
12. Click on General and then Update
13. Then click on Submit to place the item in your blackboard course.
