What's New in Windows 10

Windows 10 is the new operating system for all college PC computers. You will notice that the look and feel has changed from what you are used to on Windows 7. This article will highlight the biggest changes that have been made to Windows 10 to help increase your productivity and ease of use.

Start Menu

The Start Menu on Windows 7 allowed you to access frequently used

applications as well as access settings.

The Start Menu on Windows 10 still shows your most use applications as well as

the computer settings. Windows 10 added a new Tiles feature which allows you to add

application tiles to the right of the Start Menu.

All Programs

All programs and applications on Windows 7 were available under the

All Programs link from the Start Menu.

All Apps

Windows 10 changed the All Programs location to All Applications.

This where you will find all of the applications and programs on the computer.

Computer

Files on Windows 7 were stored under the Computer folder.

Files on Windows 10 are accessible through the File Explorer folder.
