Faculty and Staff - Enabling Zoom Live Transcript for Meetings
When hosting a live Zoom meeting you have the ability to enable live transcripts. This feature captions your meetings in real-time. This article will walk you through how to enable Live Transcript on your Zoom meetings. Note: If you record your Zoom meeting with Live Transcript enabled you will not receive a recording from Zoom with captions. Live Transcript only provides captions in real-time. |
1. Start your Zoom meeting (via your course in Blackboard or directly through the Zoom application). |

2. Once your meeting has started, select the Live Transcript icon at the bottom of your Zoom window. |

3. A pop-up window will appear. Under Live Transcript, select the Enable Auto-Transcription button. Note: Meeting attendees will be notified in the Zoom meeting that transcripts have been enabled. |

4. Begin conducting your meeting/class. Transcriptions will appear at the bottom of the Zoom meeting window in real-time. Note: You will need to enable Live Transcript for each Zoom meeting. |

You may disable Auto-Transcription at any time by selecting the Live Transcript icon then Disable Auto-Transcription. |
