Mozilla Firefox - Export and Import Bookmarks

 

It is always recommended to have a backup of your important data. This data not only includes office documents, but bookmarks as well. Firefox stores bookmarks in a local profile on each computer by design. To back these bookmarks up, please follow the steps below. 

 

Export Bookmarks - Follow these steps to save your bookmarks before the Windows 10 upgrade.

 

1. Open Firefox and click the Bookmarks icon in the upper right-hand corner.

2. Click Show all Bookmarks.

 3. A pop-up window will appear. Click the Import and Backup button. Then click Export Bookmarks to HTML.

 4. Save the HTML file to your OneDrive, H drive, or a Flash Drive.

Import Bookmarks - Use these steps to add your bookmarks back to Firefox after the Windows 10 upgrade.

 

 

1.  Open Firefox and click the Bookmarks icon in the upper right-hand corner. Bookmarks Icon Upper Right Hand Corner
2. Click Show all Bookmarks.

 3. A pop-up window will appear. Click the Import and Backup button. Then click Import Bookmarks to HTML.

4. Browse and select the file that you saved when you exported Firefox bookmarks and then select the Open button.
