Connecting to MC3Secure Wireless Network (Wifi) - Android

 

Changing Wi-Fi Settings

1. Open your Notification Panel by sliding down from the top of your screen.

 

 

 

2. Long Press on the Wi-Fi icon to open Wi-Fi Settings
3. You will now see your  Wi-Fi Settings

 

Connecting to MC3Secure Automatically

1. Follow the instructions above to view your  Wi-Fi Settings , tap on the  MC3Secure Secured Network  
2. You will now see the MC3Secure Network Settings:

 
  • Verify the following settings:
    • EAP Method
      • PEAP
    • Phase 2 authentication
      • MSCHAPV2
    • CA certificate
      • (Unspecified)
      • On some models of Android, this is left blank
    • Identity
      • Your MCCC Login Username (not your full email address, stop before the "@")
    • Anonymous Identity
      • Leave this blank
    • Enter Password
      • Your MCCC Login Password
3. Once all of the above settings are confirmed, tap Connect

4. Once connected, open your web browser and go to connect.mc3.edu to complete your registration.  

NOTE: You will not have network access until you complete registration.

 

Connecting to MC3Secure Manually

1. Follow the instructions above to view your  Wi-Fi Settings , tap on the  Add Wi-Fi network  Option

2. Enter  MC3Secure for the  Network SSID

3. Security Option will be  802.1x EAP , this will cause more options to appear
 
  • Verify the following settings:
    • Network SSID
      • MC3Secure
    • EAP Method
      • PEAP
    • Phase 2 authentication
      • MSCHAPV2
    • CA certificate
      • (Unspecified)
      • On some models of Android, this is left blank
    • Identity
      • Your MCCC Login Username (not your full email address, stop before the "@")
    • Anonymous Identity
      • Leave this blank
    • Enter Password
      • Your MCCC Login Password

 

 

 4. Once all of the above settings are confirmed, tap CONNECT

This is probably the simplest thing I’ve done on the computer for all of MC3’s stuff. The person who wrote these easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions with visual aids should design the college’s website!
