Office 365: Overview of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Microsoft Office 365 online applications are available to all MCCC students and employees. Office 365 is powered by the cloud, which allows you to get your applications and files from virtually anywhere PC, MAC, and mobile devices have access to the internet. Also, these applications will be automatically updated by Microsoft.
Getting Started:
- Access Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) via the web or desktop.
- In Montco Connect, select Office 365 to access the applications or access the suite at https://portal.office.com/Home and log in using your Montco username and password.
- Download the desktop versions of these applications for free.
Note: The College's Office 365 subscription allows you to download and use the full version of Microsoft Office Professional for Windows or MAC or the versions of the Office Apps for iPad and Android. The features are slightly different, but all available apps for each operating system are licensed for use as long as you are an active member of the community (employed or registered for courses).
Understanding the different applications:
Outlook - College Email
Outlook provides access to your email and calendar. You may choose to install Outlook on your desktop or use the web-based client. All College employees and students (starting July 2022) use Outlook to receive their email.
Outlook is critical to your success as a community member because it is where all official College communications and course communications are sent. You are also expected to communicate with the College community through your assigned College email address. Resources: |
