Eduroam Access for Wireless Users

eduroam (educationroaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming wireless access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam is an encrypted (WPA2) wireless service that is available on all MCCC campuses. eduroam allows students, researchers, faculty, and staff from MCCC to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop or supported mobile devices. Connecting to theeduroam secure wireless network
In addition to the MCCC community, persons from other participating institutions may utilize this network. HOWEVER, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO SETUP EDUROAM AT YOUR HOME INSTITUTION BEFORE TRAVELLING.
Option 1: Configuration Tool - MCCC community
For select institutions, you may be able to connect using a configuration tool. This is available for MCCC students.
Before using the tool be sure you know your MC3 User Account, password, and have local admin rights on your computer.
1. Enter the name of your institution herehttps://www.eduroam.us/get-started/support
2. Click on the link next to "Configuration URL:". If this is blank, please proceed with Option 2 below.
3. For MCCC, verify the Operating System selected is correct and click "Join Now".
4. Proceed with running the download and following the wizard to connect to eduroam.
Option 2: Manual Configuration
NOTE: If you are from another eduroam institution, the username is your full email address. The other settings remain the same.
SSID (Network Name): eduroam
User Credentials: username@students.mc3.edu or username@mc3.eduor username@MyInstitution.edu
Password: your normal mc3.edu issued password or your institution email password
Security Type: 802.1x
Authentication: WPA2
Data Encryption: AES
eduroam services are subject to the same rules and standards that are followed at MCCC. This includes theTechnology Acceptable Use Policy.
eduroam Coverage
Wireless coverage areas for eduroam are the same as it is for MC3Secure on the MCCC campuses. Wireless access points are installed across campus.
- List of MCCC Wireless Coverage
- Central Campus (all buildings) and outdoor quad
- West Campus (all buildings)
- Culinary Arts Institute

eduroam secure wireless service is available to MCCC students, faculty, and staff.
