Faculty - Copying a Course with Curriculum Builder Readings Lists

 

If you copy a course that contains Curriculum Builder Reading Lists, you will need to take an extra step to ensure the readings in your reading list copy over successfully. This article will show you how to copy your Curriculum Builder reading lists. 

Note: You must do your Course Copy prior to completing these steps. These directions are only for those instructors that are copying Course Materials that contain links to Curriculum Builder.

You must copy the readings from your Curriculum Builder lists every time you do a Course Copy.

All Curriculum Builder reading lists must be made Public. To learn how to make your lists public, view Making Curriculum Builder Reading Lists Public

If you are looking to copy a reading list into a new Curriculum Builder reading list, please view Copy Readings inside Curriculum Builder to a New Curriculum Builder List

 

1. Go into Blackboard and navigate to the course where you copied course materials to.

Note: The reading lists you are looking to copy must be Public lists. To learn how to make your lists public, view Making Curriculum Builder Reading Lists Public 

 

 

 

 

2. Click the Curriculum Builder link that copied over from your Course Copy where you want to verify/copy your reading lists.

3. Click See Current Reading List in the upper left corner.

4. Click Import from Existing Reading List in the upper left corner.

5. Next to All Public Lists, click the drop down menu and select the list you want to copy materials from. Then click View List. 

Note: You must make your lists Public in order to copy the content over into a new course. View the article Making Curriculum Builder Reading Lists Public

6. Click the boxes next to the readings you want to copy or if you wish to select all of the readings, check the box next to Select All

Then click the Copy Selected Readings button.

7. The readings from the list you selected will now appear.

Note: You must follow these steps to copy the readings from Curriculum Builder each time you do a Course Copy of materials that contain links to Curriculum Builder.
